Weeeeeeeeee...college! So it's about midway through the semester. Exciting stuff. It's really nice here and not to difficult to get used to. Pretty, especially now, with all of the deciduous trees having changed colors. Lovely stores, nice geeky people, theatre...I love it. I auditioned for two shows so far, and managed to get a call back for the musical. I didn't get a part, which I'm fine with considering just about every freshman (and especially the transfer students) have more experience and especially more classes in this stuff than me. It was actually a really nice experience and made me feel like I really belong in this world. Plus, the director REALLY like my audition song, so I'm making some headway.

Auditions for the Acting I sequence (the start of being getting a degree with an emphasis in acting) next week. Really nervous, but I've been working on my monologue a lot and feel pretty comfortable, and I've been participating in as many monologue practice-y things and trying to show as much enthusiasm as I feel to my den mom. I really want this more than anything, but I suppose if I don't get in this time, there's always next year. And if it doesn't work out next year, there's always becoming a music major to appease my mother, or being a costume design/construction emphasis. Speaking of which, I've been a stitcher for the shows this semester, and it is FUN! I'm really catching on quick. Not only that, but I've been sewing my Halloween costume since I got some purple fabric that wasn't going to be used, and this girl who's also a stitcher is lending me a petticoat. Seriously, no one may get my costume, but it is going to be cute. I will post pictures, if anyone cares. I'm just so excited! My first very own sewing project! A dress from scratch!

I'm so shy, but the people here are really helpful. I haven't really made any friends yet, but most certainly I am working on it.
